welcome

here’s a bit of information about me, Emily and the team that work with me.

hello from emily

As an accredited birth and postnatal doula, doula coach, hypnobirthing teacher and trainer, I am deeply passionate about changing the narrative around birth (in a world where there is so much fear and misinformation) and cultivating positive experiences.

Through my work with parents, I love to share my knowledge, tools and practical tips to support them to feel calm, prepared and empowered in their decision making as they journey towards this most transformational time.

As a doula coach and Hypnobirthing Practitioner Trainer, I nurture ideas and celebrate the unique qualities that everyone brings to this really special work.

Through my work I have seen how positive birth and postnatal experiences really do have an impact that last a lifetime.

    Hypnobirthing Practitioner Training

I run the Mama Serene programme and can train you to become an Independent Hypnobirthing Practitioner, with both online and in-person courses.

motherhood, coffee and living by the sea

I was born in Cornwall, moved away to pursue a career working in the arts and when I discovered doula work, I navigated my way back to Cornwall, to the sea, where I am at my happiest. I live in Falmouth with my partner and our two children.

My own motherhood journey has reaffirmed how important it is to have support and that investing in ourselves and our own wellbeing really can help us be the parents we want to be. As the well known phrase goes, you cannot pour from an empty cup. That’s so true isn’t it?  Being a mother to my energetic and curious little ones has helped me slow down and discover the world through their eyes. As a family we enjoy exploring the outdoors, baking and popping into a local cafe for cake and of course a strong, hot coffee.
